Just returned from another trip to Black Mountain in western NC. I didn’t post after my last trip because I could never find the words to convey the heart-breaking damage that I saw. This week I spent time with several homeowners and heard their stories of survival and hardship. It was heavy, but spending time with the volunteers made my heart feel lighter. We’re making a difference. Most of the mucking out is complete and we’re into the rebuilding phase. I’m prayerful that our first homeowner will be back in her home before the holidays! God is good.
