About Us
Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders is a 501(c)(3) Christian organization dedicated to serving the victims of major disasters in the United States. Organized in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, we have supported rebuilding in most major hurricane disaster areas since then. We serve uninsured, low-income homeowners using volunteer labor to make our rebuilding effort more affordable. We’re financed from donations and grants.
CURRENT LOCATIONS
Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders is currently operating in West Virginia (floods in July 2026) and western North Carolina (Hurricane Helene).
FCDR has launched long-term recovery operations in Lewis and Upshur counties in West Virginia to help families whose homes were damaged or destroyed by the July flooding. Preliminary damage assessments across the affected counties have identified more than 1,600 homes damaged by the July flooding, including 33 destroyed and 227 with major damage, with the most severe destruction concentrated in Lewis and Upshur counties.
On the night of September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene swept through western North Carolina, causing loss of life and catastrophic flooding. Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders has been on the ground since then and has now transitioned into the rebuilding phase. We are currently operating out of Montreat, serving the surrounding communities including Swannanoa and Black Mountain. We would love to have your team join us.
