What a week here in Black Mountain/Swannanoa/Bat Cave NC! We were so blessed to have Mike Bultemeier and Clarence Scheumann, Scott Bailey’s Answering The Call crew, and Mark Schley from Wisconsin. These volunteers worked so hard all week and made lasting impressions on so many hearts.
To top it all off, Emerge Ministries and Cragmont Assembly had an amazing cooking team from Longville Baptist Church in Louisiana providing meals for the volunteers this week! There is nothing like enjoying a bowl of delicious gumbo with potato salad on a chilly evening with a gorgeous view of the mountains!
For those who’ve been with us over the years, Longville Baptist and the Ragley community played a huge role in the start up of our SWLA Hurricane Laura/Delta operation!! It was so good to see them here!
The devastation everywhere is terribly heartbreaking, but witnessing the love and compassion that all of these guys and gals bring to those who have lost so much is absolutely beautiful.
