Another family moves into their new home.

What an honor to dedicate a new home in Dawson Springs, KY yesterday! Standing on the porch with Governor Andy Beshear we celebrated the end of a long journey to get this beautiful family home again.
Homeowners Zack and Eliza connected with Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders when board President Bart Tucker pulled his truck into a hay field to inquire about buying hay for an elderly couple’s hungry cattle nearby. When he started a conversation with Eliza he realized that his seemingly random stop in a hay field was actually guided by the Hand of God. They had lost their home in the tornado and Bart and Eliza found the perfect way to help each other.
The day was also marked with honor for Billy Wells, a local from Hanson, KY who worked tirelessly to help tornado survivors from Barnsley to Midway. Judge Executive Jack Whitfield read a proclamation declaring September 13 to be “Billy Wells Day” in honor of Billy’s service and sacrifice for so many others who desperately needed his help.
