Chris Stewart with E.W. Scripps Media (Scripps News) visited Southwest Louisiana recently to report on the recovery in SWLA and the work that Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders has been doing here.
For over 2 years now, FCDR has been helping homeowners in Southwest Louisiana that were affected by Hurricanes Laura and Delta, Winter Storm Uri and the May 2021 Floods. The devastation here has been challenging due to the overwhelming number of homes affected.
FCDR’s SWLA (Southwest Louisiana) team is also part of a larger collaborative effort to help even more homeowners return home. This “Coalition” of non-profits has been successful due to the joint effort between Mennonite Disaster Services, Disaster Aid Ohio, Louisiana United Methodist Conference, SBP (St. Bernard Project), SWLA Responds and Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders.
