With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, all of us at FCDR have a lot to be thankful for. We are so thankful EVERYDAY for our VOLUNTEERS!! Without the help of these amazing folks, we would not be able to help those we love to serve.
This past week, work on these homes progressed rather quickly here in Kentucky. Volunteers from Central Baptist Church from Westerly, RI and Valparaiso returned for their yearly trip. To top it off, Weaverland Disaster Services volunteers began their 5 month deployment here with us!! All three of these teams worked here with FCDR last year and have returned to help complete even more homes!
Quite a few of our Western Kentucky homeowners will be able to enjoy this holiday season in their newly built or repaired home, thanks to the hard work and dedication of so many. Some will still be displaced for just a little longer, but can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s truly heartwarming to see the love poured into these homes and into the homeowners lives.
