Our volunteers and staff have been working hard to bring our homeowners back home. They’ve made tremendous progress on these homes in Southwest Louisiana! It is always amazing to see the beauty unfolding when volunteers are on these worksites!
The people of SWLA have been hit with 4 disasters in the past year. Last spring, everyone across the nation began feeling the effects of Covid-19. This has had a tremendous negative impact on many businesses and families. In August and September, the people of SWLA were hit by back-to-back major hurricanes! Hurricanes Laura and Delta made landfall within 5 weeks of each other. So many people in this area have been left with nowhere to go. Sadly, the recent unusual ice storms slowed down any progress being made.
There is so much work to do here, and so many that need your help. If you’ve been considering volunteering, please contact us today! Without volunteers, many of those we serve will have to wait even longer for help! Toni Ratliff/FCDR Family Partner LA
