On December 9, 2023, Middle Tennessee was hit by multiple tornados. The area hit hardest was the city of Clarksville, TN. Clarksville is home to many military families and veterans, as it is located next to Fort Campbell Army Base.
The EF-3 that hit Clarksville left a path of destruction that sadly claimed the lives of 4 while injuring many others. The devastation along its path is absolutely heartbreaking.
This Tennessee city is a one-hour drive from Dawson Springs KY, which is where WDS volunteers are helping us complete several new homes for those affected by the 2021 tornado. We are so grateful for these volunteers! They have eagerly agreed to help us in both areas!
As WDS teams continue the work on our new builds in Kentucky, the rest are helping us repair homes and restore faith in Tennessee! Last week’s team worked well after dark to ensure this roof was safe and secure, before the onset of the winter storm that is affecting so many this week.
