Working Away at Ms. Gloria’s

Great progress has been made on Ms. Gloria’s home in Arapahoe, NC this week thanks to the Esperanza Covenant Church out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We completed the flooring in her new bedroom, closet, living room and kitchen.

Ms. Gloria is wheelchair-bound, so as part of her rebuild we have reconfigured her home with wider doors, a large closet she can move in and out of, and we will be installing a tile shower for easy access. I still remember having a conversation with her about the 24” door to her old bathroom and asking her how she got to the shower. All she said was ‘it was difficult’.
