One of the fantastic things return groups do is visit homeowners they have helped in the past. I know both the homeowners and the volunteers appreciate those visits as when you volunteer you tend to develop lifelong bonds with homeowners. It was about 2 years ago the Esperanza Covenant Church from Grand Rapids came down and helped with Danny and Phyllis’s home in New Bern. They helped with the backyard wheelchair ramp, flooring, and painting. Sadly, Phyllis passed last year. Rusty Cready/Operations Director FCDR NC
