From our Texas operation:
Mr. W. (age in his fifties) was referred to Fuller by the City of La Marque. Per our first initial phone call with Mr. W., he was not at home during the week of the winter storm in Texas. He was in the hospital having surgery from an accident last fall. Last fall he was picking up his dog who had gone into the street, when a car hit him, pushing him into a 2nd car, and drivers of both vehicles left the accident. Mr. W. had stated he had made some bad choices in his younger days but he has turned his life around to God.
Mr. W. has had many surgeries and needs many more. He never had any children and his siblings do not live close by, so two neighbors have been assisting him, one being a retired doctor, age 96. He had received many high water bills and upon returning to his home, there was a leak in his one small bathroom. With the help of volunteers, his bathroom now has been gutted, pipes fixed, walls repaired, and a new bathtub and toilet have been installed. There is more work to be done on his home but Fuller and Mr. W. have a plan. Fuller told Mr. W. that between God and the doctors and his patience, his body will be repaired, Fuller will repair his home and when it is all done, Mr. W. can do God’s work. Mr. W. who had been frustrated with his body, hospital stays, etc, smiled and with a calmness said, “Yes, I can do God’s work”.
