Some progress and ‘regress’ photos from a home in Pamlico County NC (or what I now refer to as the crawfish home due to crawfish in the crawlspace). When I first estimated the house repairs I couldn’t get to the attic on one end of the house so I assumed it didn’t have any attic insulation as the other half did not. So going to save some dollars on insulation? Our plan was just to repair the roof and insulate. Ms. Lisa’s cousin is helping her do all the internal drywall repairs and painting. In the dining room there was some new subflooring a volunteer organization had done shortly after the storm (Florence). So since we were saving some money on insulation I told Ms. Lisa we would take a look at that subfloor as it wasn’t level from kitchen to the living room- oh well, did that open a can of worms (or crawfish in this case) as you can see by the pictures (a lot of patchwork repairs had been done). One of our goals with Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders is to ensure at the end of the day that we not only repair the storm damage to the home (roof) but help ensure the homeowner ends up with a safe and energy efficient (insulation) home as much as possible so we will work hard to get the joists, etc repaired correctly so it is safe for her.

The picture of the water is coming back from Pamlico county over the Neuse River Bridge looking towards New Bern.

Wonderful city and people- come on down, up, over and etc to volunteer. Rusty Cready, Operations Director
